MEET THE DOCTOR

Dr. Ben Nelson, who is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist, completed his undergraduate studies at BYU-Hawaii campus and Weber State University. After finishing with high honors he decided to attend dental school at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, Az. While there, Dr. Nelson received excellent clinical training and had many opportunities to serve in community clinics. Dr. Nelson’s love for working with children grew and he was accepted to attend a two-year specialty training program working solely with kids and special needs patients of all ages at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Dr. Nelson loves to help kids feel comfortable and finds great satisfaction in delivering quality dentistry. Dr. Nelson enjoys humanitarian dental trips and has been able to go to Ecuador, Galápagos Islands, and Mexico to give dental work to kids.

Dr. Nelson is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD). He is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Dr. Nelson loves to learn and continues to attend classes and meetings on various subjects throughout the country.

Dr. Nelson is married and has six children. In his spare time, Dr. Nelson loves to mountain bike, camp, barbecue, play and watch sports, and spend time with his family. Dr. Nelson also speaks Spanish fluently.
